Genus - X cupressocyparis, Species - leylandii "Gold Rider"
With its bright yellow tips on green branches, this is one of the most asked about trees on our nursery. It is still somewhat rare. It is a better yellow than the other leylandii cultivars and endures full sun without burning. It grows about a foot a year and has an open, horizontal habit. It can be trimmed to create a full shape. Easy to grow and tolerates salt spray. Matures to about 30 feet by 10 feet. Zone 6 to 9.
