Genus - Cryptomeria, Species - japonica "Sekkan-Sugi"

Another unusual Japanese introduction. This selection has fine 'feathered' branches that offer year round interest. New foliage is light yellow that darkens to a beautiful gold in summer. Takes well to pruning but protect from spring frosts, high winds and baking sun. Will tolerate partial shade. Size at 10 years about 15 feet by 4 feet. Zone 6 to 9.
