Genus - Chamaecyparis, Species - obtusa "Reis Dwarf"
With a twisted, irregular growth habit this dwarf conifer fits well into rock gardens. It stays narrow so will also look good in containers. It has a rich green color with tinges of bronze on new growth. It really stands out in the winter garden. It also is a good choice for bonsai as its natural shape is kind of windswept. A nice substitute for arborvitae. Size at 10 years is about 4 feet by 2 feet. Zone 5-8
