Genus - Fagus, Species - sylvatica "Asplenifolia"
Narrow, delicate, fernlike leaves mark this beech as an unusual tree for the garden. The lower branches can hang to the ground and are often pruned. The upper branches tend to curve slightly up. The leaves are a dark, shinny green which turn a golden bronze in the fall. Becomes more oval shaped with age.
Fully Matures to 60feet by 50feet. Zone 4 to 7.
