Genus - Chamaecyparis, Species - nootkatensis "Variegata"
The dark green branches of this Alaskan cedar are splashed with irregular areas of gold. This is a slow grower with graceful weeping, open branches. It prefers moisture. It is not a choice for a formal garden but adds a bit of surprise in a natural-look planting. Matures to 20 to 25 feet high but can be pruned easily. Zone 4 - 8.
