Genus - Fagus, Species - sylvatica "Red Obelisk"

Not just another purple beech. Red Obelisk is more compact than Dawyckii Purple It makes a great focal point for narrow spaces. Its shape and grey bark add winter interest. Size at 10 years is about 8 feet by 3 feet. Zone 4 to 7.
