Genus - Sequoiadendron, Species - giganteum "Glauca"
This is not the tree for a small yard. It has a conical form with bluish-green needles. It can reach heights of over 100'. It is one of the longest lived trees in the world. When young, it has branches to the ground but as it ages, these branches die back leaving the trunk exposed. If you have the room, it creates an interesting architectural element. Matures to about 80 feet by 25 feet. Zone 6 to 9.
