In the wild, this boxwood can grow to a small tree. It has very compact growth and takes well to pruning. It can be shaped into almost shape. Be careful not to prune too late in the fall as the new growth will be too tender for winter. What we have available are poodled or spiral shaped. It is deer resistant. Size depends on trimming but is about about 6 feet by 4 feet at 10 years . Zone 5 to 8.
