Genus - Chamaecyparis, Species - obtusa "Fernspray Gold"

This hinoki has graceful, arching, upright look. It has fernlike branching and a striking gold color. While it needs sun to get the best golden color, it should be shaded from the hottest summer sun. It will sunburn which is why we are no longer growing this variety. It is a bit of a slow grower that takes well to pruning.
