Genus - Cedrus, Species - deodara "Albospica"
This cedar creates spring interest in the garden. It changes the color of its new growth from white, to yellowish green, then finally to green. The green of the older leaves gives a great contrast to the white of the new growth. As with all deodaras, it has a graceful, drooping habit. It grows naturally fairly compact, but it can be sheared to make it even more compact. Matures to about 20 feet by 10 feet. Zone 7 to 9.Go Back
