Genus - Abies, Species - concolor "Compacta"

This plant adds texture and color to the garden. It is an irregular shaped, slow growing fir with long, soft, blue needles. It gives off a slightly citrus smell when its needles are crushed. Some experts feel color is influenced by growing conditions. Does not tolerate dry conditions when young. Matures to about 5 feet. Zone 3 to 7.
