Handsworth Boxwood

Genus - Buxus, Species - sempervirens "Handsworthii"

An upright, dense, dark green boxwood similar to Graham Blandy. It is not as fastigiate as as Graham Blandy, however. It does send up some side branches that can be easily pruned or put to use in topiary forms. It is a vigorous grower and is one of the tallest varieties of boxwood. It like sun to partial shade and moist soil. Size at 10 years about 10 feet by 2 feet. Zone 5 to 9.
