Pinus strobus "Torulosa"
Twisted or Contorted White Pine

Twisted or Contorted White Pine Twisted or Contorted White Pine

Genus - Pinus, Species - strobus "Torulosa"

If you like an unusual, irregular formed pine, this one will fit the bill. It has long, blue-green needles that almost look curly. This is not to be confused with Pinus strobus "Contorta" which has twisted branches. Candleiling will keep it more compact or shear to make it even fuller or for use as a hedge. Matures in 10 years to about 15 feet by 4 to 8 feet. Zone 3 to 8.
