Genus - Picea, Species - likiangensis

This tree has a strong conical form on blue-green needles. In spring it is covered in brilliant purple cones making it look like a decorated Christmas tree. It does not like hot humid summers but thrives in cooler climates. This is not a selection for a small yard or planting close to a building. Matures to 30' by 18'. Zone 6 - 8.
