Genus - Abies, Species - lasiocarpa arizonica "Glauca Compacta"

This is a very slow-growing, pyramidal shaped tree/shrub with dense branching and silver/blue needles. The bark is chalk-white. The white bark and blue needles make it a good choice for bonsai. Left alone, it grows as a little blue ball. This tree does not do well in the East and the Midwest. It does well at higher altitudes. Size at 10 years about 6 feet by 4 feet. Zone 5 to 7.
